Chicken keema matar(Stir Fried Minced Chicken with Geen Peas)

Chicken keema matar is a mouth watering side dish for chappathi, rotis and bhattura. The cooking time for this curry is very less because the ground meat will cook faster.You can prepare the same dish with minced mutton or beef.


Ingredients:


Whole spices: Cardamom - 2 Nos

Cloves - 4 Nos

Cinnamon stick - 1 No

Pepper corns - 1/4 teaspoon

Bay leaf - 1 small

Minced chicken meat - 250 grams

Cooked geen peas - 1cup (Standard measurement cup)

Sabola - 2 medium chopped

Ginger crushed - 1 medium piece

Garlic crushed - 7 cloves

Green chillies - 3 Nos slitted

Coriander powder - 3/4 tablespoon

Chilly powder - 2 teaspoon

Pepper powder - 1 1/2 teaspoon

Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon

Chicken masala powder - 3/4 teaspoon

fennel powder - 3/4 teaspoon

Garam masala powder - 1 tablespoon

Yogurt - 1 tablespoon

Tomato puree - from 2 medium tomatoes

Salt to taste

Hot water - 3/4 cup

Butter/ vegetable oil

1 Chopped Hard boiled egg and coriander leaves for garnishing


Direction to make:


1. Heat oil with 3/4 tablespoon of butter in a nonstick pan. When the oil is hot, add the whole spices ie, cardamom, cloves, bay leaf, cinnamon and pepper pods.

2. After spluttering the whole spices add chopped onion, ginger and garlic crushed, green chillies. Stir this until it become light brown in color.

3. Add coriander powder, red chilly powder, turmeric powder, fennel powder, chicken masala powder, pepper powder, salt, yogurt and 1/2 of garam masala powder.Mix everything and saute it till the raw taste of masala is completely gone.

4. Pour the tomato puree in to it and saute it for another 3 minutes. When the oil separates add the minced chicken and stir it till chicken break into small pieces. Saute again for 10 minutes.

5. Now it is the time to add the cooked green peas with 3/4 cup of water, mix well and add the remaining 1/2 tablespoon of garam masala. Fry this till everything bind together and finally make sure that the dish is perfectly done.

6. Garnish it by adding chopped hard boiled egg and coriander leaves over it.

7. Serve hot and enjoy.
